This is a print from my "Migrations" series. Every piece in the series shows a migratory animal on it's way to a destination.
I originally made this with ink, watercolor, iridescent paint, and vellum. I then scanned and printed it in my home studio using all archival pigment inks on acid-free matte photo paper, with a white border to make framing easy. Pigment inks and paper are rated to last at least 90 years.
Available as an 8x10 or 11x14 (both standard sizes for framing!)
This print is in landscape format.
Each piece comes signed and will be shipped flat in a rigid mailer via First Class USPS.
***Please note this print arrived unframed***
-------------------------------
Beluga whales live in Arctic and sub-arctic waters. During the colder months, they migrate south when the Arctic water freezes to avoid getting trapped in the ice. They travel in groups as small as 2 to as many as several hundred. Belugas are well adapted to both cold ocean waters and warm freshwater, and they are sometimes found in river estuaries, where they socialize, feed, and give birth.
